It’s difficult enough to enforce ethics rules and legal issues with Licensed Mental Health Practitioners, ever think about what protects you if you are seeing a life coach? Life Coaches are unlicensed and have no “professional” legal regulations or ethics codes to abide by. Should you encounter a problem with a life coach, outside of a criminal act, you will have absolutely zero recourse.
Also, anyone can hang a shingle and call themself a Life Coach with no training, much the same way anyone in most States can call themself a “therapist” without so much as a high school diploma.
